Every trip starts from a blank page. These are the holidays I plan most often.
Luxury long-haul
The Maldives, the Far East, the American South West, a fortnight across three countries. Long-haul is where planning pays for itself: the right order, the right flights and the right room make the difference between a good trip and the one you talk about for years.
Ocean and river cruises
A big ship with something for everyone, a small river boat that moors in the middle of town, or an expedition vessel heading somewhere cold. Cruise lines differ more than their brochures suggest, and I'll match you to the one that fits.
Family holidays
A family holiday has to work for a toddler, a teenager and two tired adults at once. I look at the things that make or break it: flight times, transfer length, room layouts and whether the pool is anywhere near the bar.
Honeymoons and celebrations
A honeymoon, a fortieth or a ruby anniversary deserves more than a good deal. I'll find the place that suits you both, let the hotel know why you're there, and take care of the extras that make it feel like an occasion.
Culture and city breaks
Three nights in Rome, a week through Rajasthan's palaces or a Christmas market weekend. Short trips leave no time to get things wrong, so the hotel is central, the guide is good and the restaurant has your table.
Safari and wildlife
Safari is all timing: which month, which camp, which part of the park. Get it right and the animals come to you. I'll plan the route, the lodges and the light aircraft between them, and add a beach at the end if you'd like one.
Most trips are a mix: a city, a beach, a few nights somewhere wild. Tell me what you enjoy and I'll put it together.
